A new Worcester Bosch combi boiler being installed in a Dublin utility room with copper pipework

How an installation actually works

We survey first, quote in writing, then fit. A survey takes about thirty minutes and is free inside Dublin 8. We measure the existing flue route, check the gas-meter capacity, look at the radiator load and listen to what the household actually uses hot water for. If a 24kW combi is honest enough, we won't sell you a 35kW.

  • Free survey across Kilmainham, Inchicore, Islandbridge and surrounding D8 postcodes
  • Fixed written quote — no day-of-fit surprises
  • Most swap-outs completed inside a single 9am-to-5pm day
  • Magnaclean magnetic filter and Sentinel inhibitor included as standard
  • Hive, Nest or wired room thermostat fitted to your preference
  • Twelve-year manufacturer warranty when you take the annual service plan

A typical install day

Fitters arrive at 8.30am. Drop sheets down, water drained by 9.15. Old boiler disconnected and out of the cupboard by 10am. New unit mounted, flue cut and sealed, gas and water reconnected by 1pm. Power-flush and inhibitor go in over lunch. Commissioning, electrical bonding and Declaration of Conformance signed off by 4pm. We hoover the cupboard, walk you through the controls and we're gone by half five.

Brands we install as standard

  • Worcester Bosch Greenstar 25Si / 30Si — the workhorse for a 2-bed terrace. 10-year warranty option.
  • Vaillant ecoTEC pro / ecoTEC plus — best for larger homes and high simultaneous hot-water demand. German build, very serviceable.
  • Ideal Logic+ / Vogue — strong UK value option; quick parts availability through our Dublin trade supplier.
  • Firebird Enviromax / Envirogreen (oil) — for the small number of D8 homes still on oil.

SEAI grant deducted before the invoice, not after. Currently up to €700 against a qualifying upgrade — we apply on your behalf, you sign once.

SEAI grant — how it actually works

The SEAI Better Energy Homes scheme contributes to qualifying boiler replacements where the new system has heating controls upgraded at the same time. We handle the BER assessor introduction, the application paperwork and the post-works inspection visit. The grant value is deducted from your invoice up front; we wait for SEAI, you don't.
